Digital skills and competencesPhysical and mental health, well-beingBridging intercultural, intergenerational and social divide

Objectives

The aim of the project is to ensure inclusion and integration for a general mental wellbeing to limit the digital divide affecting older adults (65+) in rural areas, more specifically from the area of Friol, by letting them acquire the essential digital skills to engage in today's society. To make that happen, the young people selected and involved will become facilitators first-hand, leading the activities and explanations during the four social hackathons organised. The main topics will be misinformation and fake news, how to write and use an email, how to use a banking application, and safe practices to navigate the web. All of that will let the young people learn about difficulties of the older generation, develop sensibilisation between the youngsters for what the risks of exclusion and loneliness concern, and create an intergenerational constructive dialogue to share differences and experiences with the elderly.
