Rural depopulation is an increasingly serious problem in Spain and Europe, but It ́s even more important in those communities with large rural areas, such as Asturias, where 81% of the territory is classified as rural and more than 880 rural areas are already uninhabited. With such a high and constantly growing number of abandoned villages, it is considered of vital importance to promote initiatives that encourage the recovery of villages so that they can be spaces of future and opportunity for young people. The main objective of this project therefore lies in discovering new models of rural development and relationships with the territory. The aim is to bring people together again and intervene in the territory through arts and culture to achieve better forms of socialisation and revitalisation of the villages, always taking care of and respecting them from an environmental, cultural and heritage perspective.
