The European DiaLogues, Engaging with Europe, aims to enhance the participatory skills and knowledge of young people to improve their involvement in democratic life. The associations involved in the project are renowned in the field of debate in Spain, with decades of experience in conducting debate activities, allowing them to understand the benefits of this form of non-formal education. Engaging in debates involves developing skills such as critical and logical thinking, analytical ability, argumentation, reasoned rebuttal, idea expression, active listening, information search and verification, teamwork, meeting organization, and assembly, among others. This project addresses the difficulty that young people face in participating in social reality and complements formal education in the acquisition of these skills.
