The project aimed to help APG improve how it trains adults in rural areas and how it follows up with them after training. Through job shadowing in an Italian organisation, the team wanted to observe useful practices, reflect on how they could fit APG’s work, and bring back methods that would make its educational activities more coherent and better adapted to local needs. The wider goal was to make APG’s educational work more consistent and relevant to rural transition challenges.
Association Petite Graine (APG) is a non-profit organisation based in a rural town in the French Pyrenees, Bagnères-de-Luchon. APG works in non-formal education on various topics related to sustainability challenges, with a focus on social entrepreneurship and community initiatives. As a newcomer in adult education, APG initiated this project because its rural setting made it harder to access proven approaches for training adults and supporting them over time.
