Objectives

Despite its accreditation, which facilitates the implementation of projects, the Coëvrons Community of Communes strives to maintain the quality of the activities it offers and is committed to constantly devising new tools and finding new ideas to inspire its teams, partners and young people. Building on the objectives of our accreditation: 1/ To offer young people and youth workers the chance to enjoy an exceptional human and cultural experience by taking part in projects and European mobility schemes, and to further motivate them to participate in future educational or training activities (formal or non-formal) after their stay. 2 / To give young people the opportunity to learn in a fun environment, and even to rekindle their enthusiasm for learning, helping them find the personal resources to develop their own skills. 3 / To promote well-being and self-esteem. Taking part in a European project is an opportunity to take the initiative, express opinions, create whilst having fun, and develop one’s potential and self-esteem. 4 / Promote inclusion, opening up activities to participants from different backgrounds and with diverse abilities and specific needs. 5 / Develop one’s ability to adapt and integrate, to master other cultural norms and even a foreign language. Improving language skills also adds another string to one’s bow. 6 / Boost employability and inspire people to take the next step. The aim is to give young people and professionals the opportunity to enrich their career paths and broaden their horizons. 7 / Promote the European Union’s activities and areas of action, and answer a simple question: What is Europe for? To contribute to peace, respect for diversity and human rights, and to foster tolerance, equality and social cohesion – values that are fundamental to the European Union. We have devised three new projects: The first, linked to INTERCULTURALISM and entitled BIRTHDAY, had the following objectives: ● To spark participants’ interest in difference and present cultural diversity as an asset for the whole community. ● To combat prejudice by discussing the myths and realities of one’s own culture and of cultures different from one’s own. ● To encourage participants to reflect on their own identity and to recognise the different cultural affiliations that shape it. ● To promote intercultural dialogue by including a moment of sharing amongst participants, either through the pooling of experiences and knowledge or through an approach that fosters cooperation amongst participants. ● To facilitate communication amongst participants in order to create a respectful, open and non-judgemental dialogue A second environment-related project entitled ICE SCREAM, with the following objectives: ●Understanding and adapting to extreme weather conditions. - Observing the effects of the cold on the body (breathing, skin, energy). - Learning to dress in layers and manage body heat ●Discover natural phenomena linked to the climate - Observe snow and ice and their different forms (crystals, powder snow, compacted snow). - Understand polar phenomena (long nights, low light levels, the Northern Lights). ●Develop practical safety skills in a snowy landscape. - Take part in winter activities ●Connect climate with northern ways of life -Discover how Finns live with the cold on a daily basis (housing, food, travel). -Experience the sauna as a cultural response to the harsh climate. ●Develop resilience and self-management in the face of the climate -Learn to stay positive and active despite the cold and darkness. -Strengthen team spirit by sharing challenges related to outdoor conditions ●Raise awareness and educate -Organise workshops and events: run information sessions on waste sorting, composting, or the importance of local and seasonal consumption; hold discussion workshops on ecosystem conservation and global warming. A third activity, a seminar entitled COOP’ACM, was organised with the agency’s approval. The objectives of this seminar were as follows: ●To promote European cooperation among youth workers on issues relating to the ecological transition. ●To jointly develop eco-friendly educational tools tailored to youth clubs (activities, methods, resources). ●To develop concrete and replicable approaches (waste management, sustainable food, eco-mobility, energy efficiency, responsible procurement). ●To strengthen participants’ skills in environmental and sustainable development education ● To encourage the long-term adoption of eco-responsible practices within our organisations.
