Objectives

ACCOORD is a social and cultural organization in Nantes in the Pays de la Loire region. It is a non-profit association under the French law of 1901, managing 23 socio-cultural centers, community centers, and an outdoor center. Twelve of these facilities are located in QPVs (Priority Neighborhoods). Under a public service delegation, ACCOORD also manages 40 children's leisure centers, 17 activity centers for teenagers (aged 11-15), and organizes trips and exchanges in France and abroad during the school holidays. Its facilities offer the residents of Nantes a wide range of educational leisure activities for all ages. Every year, 12,000 families in Nantes benefit from these activities. The European and international dimension is central to our association's project. We know that mobility and intercultural exchanges are essential levers for young people's development. Indeed, European mobility allows them to: - Discover others, the world, and sometimes even their own history - Develop skills, stimulate curiosity, and encourage reflection and question about the surrounding world - Exercise citizenship by adopting a different relationship with the world and time - Build and strengthen a sense of belonging to a European community However, many young people in the Nantes metropolitan area have never had the opportunity to travel in Europe. Our audiences and staff often need to take a step back from their daily lives, develop their independence, boost their self-confidence and gain access to cultural and sporting experiences. Mobility can meet all of these needs. These observations led us to implement Erasmus+ mobility projects in the field of youth. For this third accredited project, our objectives were as follows: 1) Contribute to the development of European citizenship and create political and ecological awareness 2) Develop and promote the cross-disciplinary skills of young people and staff 3) Position ourselves as a guide, enabling young people from different countries to meet and play a leading role in the Nantes metropolitan area
