This Franco-German-Romanian youth exchange brings together 24 participants aged 18 to 25 on the theme of food. Today, one in two European adults is overweight or obese. This is due to a number of factors: our eating habits, particularly products that are increasingly processed, and a sedentary lifestyle. With this project, we want to help young people who cook for themselves and no longer live with their parents to adopt healthier eating habits, by showing them the nutrients the body needs every day, the impact of certain foods on health, the importance of physical activity, and how to eat locally and organically without having to spend too much, adapting to each person's budget. Another aim is to teach young people good eating habits. Participants will also have time to reflect on food in general: food waste, practices in each country and how the countries of the European Union are dealing with this malnutrition in Europe, which involves numerous illnesses over the long term, the impact of advertising on our consumption patterns and so on. Participants will leave with a recipe book of healthy, low-cost recipes they have created during the exchange. They will also create cooking tutorials to pass on to as many young people as possible. The aim of this exchange is also to empower the young people, to give them a sense of responsibility, by giving them the space they need to propose activities, for the group to set up their daily life, the living-together charter, cleaning and cooking schedules, and above all to cook together. We aim to achieve these objectives through activities and popular education methods.
