Objectives

The main idea of this bilateral Youth Exchange project "Beyond Limits" comes from the youngsters who are active members/volunteers of involced partner organizations. Both, French and Georgian organizations are involved in various types of inclusive education projects, we actively cooperate with specialized institutions of inclusive education (and their young people) that are represented in our cities: Medical-Educational Institute (IME) branch based in Déols, and Rehabilitation-developing center "Kesane" based in Rustavi city. Young leaders from PRIJ and AEPC are actively involved in activities related to youth with disabilities (for example attending Occupational therapy workshops, with a psychological and pedagogical profile, were we doing internships and volunteering at the mentioned local institutions. During our talks with them, we came to the conclusion that neither of them had ever had the opportunity to participate in outdoor relted inclusion activities: mountain hikes, rafting, or climbing. (due to disability and dependence on the financial situation of their parents/guardians). The idea of implementing the project was born in the automn of 2024: We contacted the Georgian NGO and together with their volunteers started to make a plan for a common Youth Exchange project. Through this project 16 youngsters, 4 leaders and 4 accompanying person's will have the opportunity of being together in Georgia andl discover some of their capacities, abilities, and skills through the different nonformal indoor-outdoor activities. During 10 days, from the 01nd to 10th July 2025, (including travel days). The project General aim is to develop young people's competencies and knowledge in outdoor education and to spend their free time in a healthy way. We are aware of a lack of activities in our free time and also that we get isolated more and more which is not good for our health and social life. The General objectives of the project is to discover some of our abilities and capacities and personal skills through outdoor activities and to learn to live a better healthy life. This project links to the objectives of the Erasmus+ program by promoting: inclusion, diversity, green practicies,European values, such as improving the competencies of the youngsters. Additionally, The activity will be designed in an environmentally friendly way and promote environmentally sustainable and responsible behavior among young participants. The project has the following objectives: - to give an intensive self-experience for the participants, Promote healthy lifestyle, to experience camping and living outdoors; - to promote equal access to nature: youngsters with disabilities to have the opportunity to explore and experience outdoor environments, breaking down physical and emotional barriers. - to give theoretical knowledge and practical skills about using experiential education with disabled groups of youngsters - to teach about the usage of outdoor education - techniques, methods, activities, how to use outdoor activities in order to reach specific goals (self-confidence, competencies, active lifestyle) with special needs persons - To increase multicultural competencies among participants and strengthen relationships between partner organizations and youth from partner organization network.
