Objectives

The project Digital Technologies for Social Inclusion DT4SI was designed to respond concretely to the growing challenges faced by young people in the labour market, particularly those with fewer opportunities and those strongly affected by the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic. In a context marked by a youth unemployment rate of 15.3% across the European Union, with significant disparities between partner countries 20.5% in France, 17.2% in Turkey and 6.4% in Germany, the project aimed to transform this situation into an opportunity for learning, inclusion and empowerment. The project is fully aligned with the priorities of the Erasmus+ programme, particularly inclusion and diversity, digital transformation and active youth participation. It was based on a transnational approach, bringing together different social realities in order to develop relevant and innovative responses. The first objective was to strengthen the employability of 30 young participants by developing their digital and transversal competences. Through practical activities, participants acquired skills related to digital content creation, the use of digital tools and online job searching. Beyond technical skills, the project aimed to increase their self-confidence, autonomy and ability to adapt to a constantly evolving professional environment. The second objective was to foster initiative and open up pathways towards entrepreneurship. Young people, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds, were supported in discovering new professional and educational opportunities. The project helped them broaden their perspectives, explore innovative career paths and develop their ability to identify and seize opportunities in a changing economic context. The third objective focused on promoting social inclusion and intercultural dialogue. Through collaborative and creative activities, participants developed their social and intercultural competences while reflecting on issues related to diversity, equality and non-discrimination. The creation of a short film was a key moment of the project, allowing participants to express their ideas and convey a strong message about living together and mutual respect. To ensure the relevance of the project, it was based on the results of a needs analysis conducted locally by each partner, allowing the identification of the real challenges faced by young people. The project was implemented using non-formal education methods, including interactive workshops, role plays, simulations, meetings with experts and intercultural activities. Structured over ten days with approximately six hours of activities per day, the programme promoted active learning, participation, creativity and teamwork. Beyond the immediate benefits for participants, the project aimed to generate a sustainable impact. It contributed to strengthening the capacities of partner organisations by integrating digital tools and inclusive practices into their work. Dissemination activities, including online communication, workshops and collaboration with local stakeholders, reached approximately 1,500 people and raised awareness about Erasmus+ opportunities. Overall, the DT4SI project contributed to enhancing social inclusion, developing young people’s competences and promoting European values, while laying the foundation for future sustainable cooperation.
