The "Voices of Heritage" project aimed to address the growing lack of interest among young Europeans in traditional music, while fostering their personal and professional development. The primary objective was to bring together 24 young people from France and Turkey to blend traditional music with modern styles, thereby preserving and adapting this cultural heritage. Specific goals included enhancing employability and entrepreneurial skills within the music sector, fostering an understanding of each culture's traditional music, promoting the social inclusion of disadvantaged youth, and facilitating the transition from volunteering to professional practice. The project also sought to expand the use of digital and media tools in music, raise awareness of music's benefits for well-being, and highlight opportunities available to musicians through the European Union. We experienced a withdrawal by our Bulgarian partner and were unable to find a replacement. Following several email exchanges with the National Agency, we agreed to carry out the project solely with the Turkish partners. This had a negative impact on the project's activities, practical organization, budget, and overall prospects.
