We would like to carry out 2 mobility activities, lasting one week each, bringing together young blind adults, aged between 18 and 30, from the Netherlands, France (2 organisations) and Romania. There will be a total of 16 young blind people gathered in Angers (France) in April 2026 during the 1st week of mobility, as well as in Cluj-Napoca (Romania) in October 2026 during the 2nd week of mobility. it's important to say that among the 16 blind participants, 4 of them are coming from the hosting partner for each mobility. These young adults will be assisted by 2 professional supporters from partner organisations, one of them as a group leader per partner structure. There are a total of 8 supporters and group leaders who will develop, lead and support young blind people in their activities (2 of them are coming from the hosting partner). We have repeatedly noted the difficulties that young blind adults face when they live outside of a specialized environment, towards more autonomy. Despite the rehabilitative support and support of specialized professionals for many years, these young people often face complex daily life situations, due to their visual disability, and hindering their power to act, their real autonomy, and their social participation. These mobility weeks therefore aim to provide activities for young blind people to develop self-confidence, self-esteem, reduce vulnerability linked to disability, and thus contribute to developing autonomy and social participation. The project also aims to create simple tools to communicate and disseminate feedback from lived experiences and thus show the benefit of certain activities for this target audience. The project is a testing base to demonstrate the benefice of activities and tools for autonomy and development of the social participation.
