This project is the second phase of a project that began in 2024. During the first phase in August 2024, 30 young French and German participants took part in a stay in Rostock, a German port city, to raise awareness and discuss environmental issues in marine environments. The second meeting will take place from August 22 to 27, 2025, in a mountain village-station located in the middle mountains at Alpe du Grand Serre, near Grenoble. The goal is to broaden the concepts and environmental and ecological issues in marine environments by questioning the impacts of climate change in the middle mountains and how mountain regions are addressing these challenges to work on their transformation and evolution. For this, it seems essential to carry out this exchange in immersion within one of these territories, which are strongly affected. In concrete terms, this intercultural stay will take place in 3 phases: - A phase of discovery and immersion in the host location through outdoor activities (hiking, camping, via ferrata, biking, etc.). - A phase of discovering and understanding the issues: What is ecological transition? What are the climate, social, and economic challenges? This phase will be shared between moments of reflection, exchanges, and debates, and meetings with local actors who will testify to the necessary transformation of their activities. - A final phase where the young people will take action through a solidarity project in the village, directly contributing to the transition of this village-station. The objectives are to: - Develop personal, social, and community living skills - Discuss environmental issues in the middle mountains to raise awareness and understand possible ecological practices - Develop intercultural and linguistic skills to promote coexistence - Enhance the training expertise of partner organizations through reciprocal exchanges of young people - Contribute to the ecological transition of a ski village and its inhabitants, who are heavily impacted by the climate crisis
