The local branch of Solidarités Jeunesses en Alsace would like to organize an exchange of young Europeans in the Bruche Valley, in its fourth year of operation in the area. This youth exchange will consolidate the quality partnerships established over the past four years with local partners and the people who bring life to the area: craftsmen, shopkeepers, educators, volunteers, animators, producers, .... The “Revive Wardrobe” youth exchange aims to encourage encounters between peoples and communities, while providing food for thought on our clothing habits and their ecological impact. Through practical workshops, such as the repair and recycling of second-hand clothes, visits to a clothing relay or a local fabric craftsman, as well as reflection on the different situations in Europe, and the history of our consumption, the “Revive Wardrobe” project will have the following operational objectives : - set up an exhibition on the ecological impact of clothing, and a fortiori of fast-fashion, in order to raise ecological awareness, while encouraging reflection and the ability to act. - organize a fashion show featuring second-hand clothes collected from thrift shops and clothing relays. These clothes will have been sewn up and recycled by the participants in the youth exchange, with the secondhand shop Emmaüs Mundo à Saales.
