Through the Fork and Future project, we wanted to help young Europeans from diverse backgrounds better understand the connections between food, the environment, health, and societal issues. Our goal was to help them acquire knowledge and practical tools so they could make more informed food choices and share these best practices with those around them, acting as ambassadors for “healthy eating” and responsible consumption. We also wanted to raise participants’ awareness of the importance of a balanced, local, and high-quality diet, while promoting habits that support physical and mental health and respect the environment. The project also aimed to create an inclusive space for exchange, where everyone could share their experiences, develop their interpersonal skills, and collectively brainstorm solutions to promote more sustainable eating habits. The main objectives of the project were: - To better understand the links between food, the environment, and sustainable development, - To empower young people to take action in the face of challenges related to food and the environment, - To foster social diversity and the participation of young people with fewer opportunities, - To promote healthy eating and well-being as essential components of a sustainable lifestyle.
