Objectives

The Re-Bridge project aims above all to strengthen the role of young people as committed actors of peace, intercultural dialogue, and democratic reconstruction in Europe, in a context marked by conflict, social divisions, and the questioning of common European values. The project aimed to contribute to the priorities of the Erasmus+ Youth program, in particular: - Strengthening European citizenship and civic participation among young people by giving them concrete tools to understand, question, and defend the values of the European Union (democracy, peace, human rights, solidarity) - Promoting intercultural dialogue and European cohesion by bringing together young people from different national and historical war contexts (France, Germany, Poland, Ukraine) in order to foster mutual understanding and transnational cooperation - Including young people with fewer opportunities, ensuring their active participation and adapting teaching methods to guarantee equal access to mobility and learning. More specifically, the project had the following objectives: - To develop participants' critical thinking and civic skills, particularly with regard to the themes of post-war reconstruction and renovation: the activities aimed to give young people a better understanding of European democratic mechanisms, the issues surrounding historical memory, and contemporary challenges related to peace and post-conflict reconstruction, particularly in the Ukrainian context. - Encourage young people's engagement in peacebuilding: through thematic workshops, visits to memorial sites, and exchanges with French and foreign institutions, participants were encouraged to reflect on their role as active citizens capable of contributing, at their own level, to conflict prevention and intercultural dialogue. - Strengthen social, intercultural, and collaborative skills: the project aimed to improve international teamwork, intercultural communication, cooperation, and initiative-taking skills, which are essential for young people's employability and future involvement in associations. - Build lasting bridges between European territories and actors: Re-Bridge aimed to consolidate partnerships between regional authorities and youth actors and lay the foundations for future cooperation, in line with a long-term European vision based on solidarity and rebuilding links between societies, which will result, among other things, in the continuation of the project in Germany in 2026.
