The project Re:Cycle, Re:Think, Re:Act – Youths for a Greener Tomorrow aims to empower young people from La Réunion and Romania by equipping them with green competences and well-being strategies, enabling them to take an active role in sustainability and personal development within their communities. This initiative responds to three key challenges identified in both regions: 1. Lack of environmental awareness and engagement – Many young people lack structured opportunities to learn about and take action on sustainability issues. 2. Limited access to mobility and non-formal education – Many participants face economic, geographic, and social barriers that limit their involvement in European opportunities. 3. Rising mental health concerns – With growing anxiety related to climate change, economic instability, and digital overload, young people need tools for emotional resilience. To address these challenges, the project sets the following objectives: 1. Develop Green Competences – Provide young people with practical knowledge and skills on sustainability, circular economy, waste management, and biodiversity conservation through experiential learning. 2. Foster Well-being and Emotional Resilience – Introduce techniques such as mindfulness, stress management, and outdoor-based learning to help participants cultivate self-awareness and mental balance. 3. Promote Active Citizenship and Social Inclusion – Empower young people, especially those from marginalised backgrounds, to become active agents of change, increasing their sense of responsibility and participation in society. 4. Enhance Intercultural Dialogue and European Identity – Facilitate peer learning between participants from different cultural backgrounds, fostering mutual respect, cooperation, and appreciation of diversity. 5. Strengthen the Capacity of Youth Workers and Organisations – Develop sustainable partnerships between CAP J. Tessier (FR) and EIVA (RO) to exchange best practices in education for sustainability and well-being. The project is designed as an interactive and engaging learning experience, where participants are not passive recipients but co-creators of knowledge, encouraged to apply what they learn in real-life community projects. Through an inclusive, structured, and well-supported mobilities experiences project will help shape a generation of resilient, environmentally conscious young leaders
