Objectives

The objective of this project is to provide youth workers with the tools, knowledge, and skills necessary to design and implement projects within the Erasmus+ framework, with a specific focus on increasing Green Competence in youth organizations. Through this experience, we aim to enhance the capacity of youth workers to integrate sustainability principles into their practice and ongoing work with youth in other fields and encourage environmental awareness among young people. This training brings together youth workers from various fields to facilitate the cross-pollination of experiences and learnings to provide a rich growth environment for all. Through the training, participants will: - Understand the Erasmus+ Program: Youth workers will gain a thorough understanding of the Erasmus+ program, enabling them to effectively design, apply for, and manage projects that align with European priorities, particularly those focusing on sustainability and youth empowerment. - Increase Green Competence in Youth Organizations: We will focus on building the environmental capacity of youth workers and organizations by incorporating green competencies into their daily activities and long-term projects. This includes promoting sustainable practices, fostering environmental awareness, and developing strategies to involve young people in addressing climate change and sustainability challenges. - Promote Collaboration and Networking: The project will create an environment for youth workers across Europe to collaborate, exchange best practices, and form partnerships for future Erasmus+ projects, especially those focused on environmental topics. - Build Practical Project Writing Skills: Participants will gain hands-on experience in developing Erasmus+ project proposals, with a special emphasis on integrating green themes and sustainability objectives. By the end of the training, youth workers will be better equipped to implement projects that contribute to both local and European goals for sustainability. The overall aim is to strengthen youth organizations’ ability to integrate sustainability into their operations and empower youth workers to become active agents of change in their communities. The project will not only contribute to the professional development of youth workers but also catalyze the creation of innovative, green Erasmus+ projects that foster long-term environmental and social impact.
