The "Dancing Immersion" project is a 10-day training course, taking place from April 1st to 10th, 2026 (excluding travel days) at the Oasis des âges (Corrèze). Youth workers will experience an immersion in body practices, mainly contact improvisation and traditional dances, combined with somatic practices and mindfulness practices. This project primarily aims to equip youth workers to implement a bodily dimension in their work, and to develop their self-confidence in their facilitation and support posture with young people. Secondly, this project aims to improve body awareness among young people and improve their mental health, helping them to have a better relationship with their bodies and thus develop better self-confidence, self-esteem, develop self-expression and the power to act, as well as reduce their stress and anxiety. The challenge is to develop a new pedagogical approach with better listening to the specific needs of young people with fewer opportunities, with the intention that they can imagine living in a more just, sustainable, inclusive and cooperative world and be part of the actors of the world of tomorrow. This training course is part of the aim of strengthening belonging to European networks and encouraging youth workers to become more involved in building European links and sharing knowledge and skills for cultural and professional enrichment. The main objectives of this training for youth workers are divided into several areas: - create a safe learning environment for participants so that they can feel safe, supported, and non-judgmental. - transmit the tools of contact improvisation to develop a bodily anchor and self-listening, as well as to work on the relationship with oneself and others, the capacity for listening and adaptation - transmit traditional dances to work on the notions of collective cohesion and listening to others. - develop better body awareness and refine the listening of sensations by experimenting somatic practices (authentic movement and Body-Mind-Centering). - develop tools to express one's emotions through dance - improve self-confidence in one's facilitation posture - experiment the facilitation posture and cooperation by co-creating workshops in small groups - reflect on the implementation of a more bodily and artistic dimension in their work with young people.
