Objectives

Faced with the rise of euroscepticism and the spread of misinformation, young people in particular are confronted with the present and future challenges facing Europe. As European citizens who will obtain the right to vote in no more than 5 years' time, with the youngest participants aged 13 and over, young people represent a central challenge for the European Union and its values. The Municipality of Plœuc-L'Hermitage is very committed to Europe, and is convinced of the importance of strengthening the EU following the bottom up approach. It therefore wishes to make a commitment to its young people, to offer them the tools to understand their citizenship and democratic participation. The objective of the project is to integrate young people from rural areas into European citizenship, by giving them the keys they need to deal with contemporary issues and helping them to develop their critical faculties, the second objective of the project, towards informed European citizenship.
