The main goal of the project was to equip young people with essential employability skills, particularly soft skills, which were increasingly important in today’s job market. Planned objectives: The first objective – to enhance young people’s understanding of soft skills and their importance for employability – was fully met. Through activities exploring employment realities, brainstorming, and group discussions, participants gained a clearer understanding of what soft skills are and why they are essential for career development, as well as how these skills influence job opportunities, workplace relationships, and long-term growth. The second objective – to strengthen participants’ soft skills – was successfully achieved through practical and interactive activities. Participants improved communication skills via exercises on active listening, assertive expression, and “I” statements, while also developing non-verbal communication through body language, tone, eye contact, and gestures. Group activities like “Building Bridges” and “Escape from the ZOO” enhanced teamwork, cooperation, problem-solving, adaptability, and conflict resolution. Overall, participants showed noticeable growth in confidence, openness, and ability to express themselves. The third objective – to develop knowledge on how to utilize their skills to improve employability – was fully met. Workshops on goal setting (using the S.M.A.R.T. method), “Highlight Your Skills”, and CV writing enabled participants to identify, articulate, and present their competences professionally, linking their skills to labor market demands and increasing readiness for future employment. In several aspects, the project exceeded initial expectations. Beyond soft skills, participants developed intercultural competences, initiative, and active participation, with many reporting increased motivation to engage in future Erasmus+ Youth Exchange projects, particularly those experiencing this type of project for the first time.
