Over the past few years, in the city of Karlovac, which is known for its parks and green areas, more and more green areas are disappearing due to the construction of buildings and parking lots. In the conversation with young people, they expressed their concern about this and asked how it can be acted upon. Through this project, we want to empower and capacitate young people for active participation in the local community in matters of environmental protection and sustainability. The main goal of the project is the implementation of interventions in the community through dialogue between young people and decision makers, while the specific goals of the project are to raise awareness among young people and the local community about the importance of maintaining green areas in our local community, empowering young people to implement interventions in the community, and empowering the community, especially young people to involvement in youth initiatives.
