Objectives

With the "Inner Compass" project, we created a welcoming and supportive space where young people from six European countries (Hungary, Ukraine, Slovenia, Georgia, Serbia, and Italy) came together for a transformative journey. The name was chosen because it symbolized the personal exploration and self-guided growth that were at the heart of the project. Just as a compass helps navigate the physical world, this project guided participants in finding their inner direction, fostering self-awareness and clarity regarding their goals and values. By implementing the project, we achieved several key objectives: - Promoted positive mental health: We provided young people with practical tools and strategies to manage anxiety, build self-awareness, and develop resilience. Mindfulness practices and workshops on coping strategies helped participants better navigate their mental health challenges, foster emotional stability. - Encouraged self-discovery and personal growth: We offered participants opportunities to explore their idetities and aspirations in an inclusive environment. Activities were designed to boost self-esteem and enhance interpersonal skills, enabling participants to build healthier relationships. - Fostered intercultural learning and inclusion: By bringing together young people from diverse bacgrounds, the project promoted mutual understanding and appreciation. Through cultural exchange activities and open dialogue, participants deepened their understanding of different cultures, challenged stereotypes, and embraced diversity. - Empowered active youth participation: We encouraged young people to take an active role in all phases of the project, from planning and implementation to dissemination. By involving them in decision-making and content creation, we empowered them to take ownersip of their learning journey while enhancing their leadership skills. - Prioritized skill development: Beyond theoretical knowledge, the project focused on equipping participants with essential life skills such as communication, digital literacy, teamwork, and problem-solving. These practical experiences enhanced their employability and confidence in navigating future professional challenges. - Built sustainable networks: We sought to strengthen connections between participants, partner organisations, and local communities. By fostering collaboration and mutual support, we aimed to build sustainable networks that extended beyond the project's duration, promoting long-term cooperation and shared learning across Europe. These objectives were designed to create a meaningful impact on the lives of the participants, enhancing their personal development, social integration, and active citizenship while advancing the overall goals of youth work practice.
