Objectives

In the summer of 2024, a member of our association took part in a BiTriMulti training in Cyprus, where she gained a lot of experience and friends. As a result of these friendships, the idea for a project was born, which would give young people the cultural knowledge to preserve the traditions of our countries and our ancestors, and to pass this knowledge on to the young people involved in an informal way. With our partner organisations we have identified a lack of this knowledge among the young people in our associations. That's why we want to see this project through from planning to implementation, with the following objectives: fostering cultural openness and acceptance among young people developing foreign language and mother tongue competences education for environmental awareness It is very important to create the opportunity for young people with fewer opportunities to learn about their own, often forgotten, culture, because this will make them more confident people, and strengthen their identity. It is also important to get to know the traditions of other countries and peoples, because it gives us a full picture of their way of thinking and their customs, which in turn strengthens young people's sense of inclusion. Once the groundwork was laid, we conducted a needs assessment among young people in our organisations, which led to a final decision to start the detailed development of the project.
