Objectives

The primary goal of implementing the "Digital Activism Training" project is to address the growing need for youth workers to be well-equipped in promoting media literacy and leveraging digital activism for social change. From the perspective of youth work practice, the project objectives are to: (1) raise awareness of the importance of media literacy and digital activism among youth workers, as it helps them to understand the impact of digital media on society and the responsible use of these platforms, (2) develop skills in using digital tools and platforms for advocacy purposes, enabling youth workers to better support young people in promoting social justice causes, (3) improve conflict resolution skills in digital spaces, as online interactions often involve debates and conflicts, and youth workers need to be able to facilitate healthy dialogue, and (4) empower youth workers to create and implement effective digital activism campaigns within their communities, fostering an environment that encourages active citizenship.
