Our Youth for Strong Communities project starts from the premise of recognising the lack of community activism among young people, their low level of social participation and the integration difficulties of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. In response to this, our project aims to raise awareness of local and European values, opportunities for young people and non-formal learning methods. Moreover, we aim to support the active participation of young people from rural and urban areas in community life. Additionally, we want to strengthen the discourse between young people coming from rural and urban areas. Furthermore we offer capacity building opportunities for the organisations involved in the project. In order to achieve our goal, we will use non-formal learning methods, encourage young people to take action through community activities and encourage cooperation between NGOs, decision-makers and young people.
