The IFIHAZ-HUB project empowers young people in Szécsény by creating a youth-led community space where they can develop skills, build connections, and take an active role in shaping their environment. Egyesek is transforming an old disco into a multi-functional youth center, with a dedicated area fully managed by young people—whether as a Community Café, Repair Café, or Creative Makerspace—based on their input. This initiative addresses the lack of safe, dedicated spaces for youth participation. Research, youth forums, and municipal discussions confirm the need for such a hub. Over two years, a core group of young people will receive training, mentorship, and hands-on experience in managing a social enterprise, organizing events, and advocating for youth engagement. With Corvinus Science Shop support, a business model will ensure long-term sustainability. IFIHAZ-HUB will be a model for youth-led initiatives, fostering leadership, civic engagement, and lasting community impact.
