Objectives

The main objectives of this project are: 1) To give tutors, teachers and education workers, training to work in the non-formal/voluntary adult language education sector in Ireland, an opportunity to gain practical skills in digital teaching and learning and course management, within a framework of European best practices. 2) As an organisation, to gain experience and establish ourselves as a quality-led, Erasmus+ sending organisation.

Background

Experienced in language teaching and teacher training, we have identified a skills gap amongst tutors working in the non-formal and voluntary language teaching sector in Ireland. We believe that this mobility will fill that gap, and do so in a way that employs European best practices. The skills that the particpants will develop will be of direct benefit to their own learners and organisations, and reflect practices in teaching and learning that are more current and environmentally sustainable.
