The main goal of the project is to raise awareness among young people about desertification, climate change, and the sustainable management of natural resources, equipping them with the skills and tools needed to become agents of change within their communities. Through an experiential and collaborative approach based on non-formal learning methods, we aim to foster greater environmental awareness and encourage active youth participation in tackling global sustainability challenges. Specific Objectives of the Project: 1. Environmental Education: Increase participants’ understanding of desertification processes, their causes, impacts, and potential solutions at both local and global levels. 2. Youth Empowerment: Equip young people with practical tools to promote environmental sustainability, such as organizing awareness campaigns, creating educational materials, and proposing innovative solutions. 3. Global-Local Connection: Promote intercultural dialogue and the exchange of experiences among young people from diverse geographical contexts, linking local experiences to global challenges. 4. Long-Term Impact: Develop materials and initiatives (podcasts, awareness campaigns, videos) that can be used beyond the project’s duration to spread knowledge and foster concrete actions against desertification. 5. Cross-Cutting Skills: Build essential skills such as leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, and communication, which are critical for participants’ personal and professional futures.
