Objectives

The main objective of the project is to strengthen European identity among the young participants through a reconnection with their roots and cultural heritage. In an era marked by increasing globalization and digitalization, the need to rediscover and enhance local traditions becomes essential to preserve the uniqueness of territories while simultaneously fostering a collective sense of belonging to Europe. The project aims to achieve a balance between maintaining local cultural identities and consolidating a shared European identity, promoting active citizenship among young people. From the perspective of youth work, the project seeks to provide tools and practical skills that enable young people to become agents of change within their communities. This means offering them concrete opportunities to develop transversal skills such as intercultural communication, teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving abilities. The planned activities will not be limited to theoretical knowledge but will be based on non-formal learning methodologies, through immersive experiences that encourage the active involvement of participants. A key element of the project is the promotion of intercultural dialogue, understood as an essential tool for mutual understanding and the reduction of prejudices. The opportunity to engage with young people from different nationalities will allow participants to confront diverse worldviews, appreciate cultural diversity, and gain greater awareness of the value of European plurality. The sharing of local traditions, learning new languages, and discovering artistic and craft expressions typical of each country will enrich each participant’s personal growth journey, making it both educational and transformative. The project also aims to train young ambassadors of local and European cultural heritage. Through active participation in artistic, historical, and digital activities, participants will be responsible for narrating and promoting the value of their traditions and culture in a broader context. They will be encouraged to use innovative communication tools, such as the creation of multimedia content and the production of digital outreach materials, to raise awareness among other young people and civil society about the importance of cultural heritage preservation. Another fundamental aspect of the project is social inclusion. The program has been designed to ensure the full participation of all young people, regardless of their socioeconomic, geographical, or cultural background. Special attention will be given to young people from disadvantaged backgrounds or rural areas, who often face greater difficulties in accessing mobility and international training programs. The project aims to break down these barriers and ensure equal opportunities for all participants so that they can have an enriching and inclusive experience. Finally, the project seeks to promote greater civic engagement among young people, encouraging them to take an active role in decision-making processes that affect their communities. The goal is to stimulate interest in youth, European, and local policies, and to provide them with the skills to contribute concretely to the development of their territories. Through interactions with experts, participation in debates, and the implementation of collective initiatives, young people will gain a deeper awareness of their role in society and their potential to drive change. The activities planned within the project are therefore designed to empower young people and make them aware of their ability to have a positive impact on society, transforming the exchange experience into a journey of personal and collective growth that will leave a lasting impact on their lives and their communities.
