“ECO REM - Ritual heritage in ecological conservation” was born from the need for young people to connect with the natural environment through a mutual life-nature exchange. The utilitarian vision of the natural environment and the imbalance between industrial progress and connection with the landscape have caused the overexploitation of the soil and the sudden abandonment of rural life and agricultural professions, consequently the obscuration of that ritual heritage linked to the fertility of the land by young European age groups, such as dances and songs linked to tarantism in the case of the territory issuing the said call (the Salento region). Having assessed the social inertia resulting from free time (often dedicated to virtual life), together with the easy availability of agricultural products in the form of GMOs (even distant from seasonality) and the disfigurement of the landscape resulting from Gruyère subdivisions and uncontrolled procurement in the areas of Mediterranean which has always been characterized by a strong rural tradition, ECO REM reflects on the following objectives: -Regulation of the balance between the young person's daily routine and the space dedicated to personal well-being; -Development of the aptitude for frequenting and respecting nature and traditional rural values; -Multiplication of design sensitivity induced by the implemented themes; -Awareness of sustainable youth entrepreneurship and the decision-making role of young people in Europe.
