The Future Leaders for Peace: Uniting Voices, Creating Change project arises from the need to reflect on and address the theme of peace and pacifist practice, not only from an ideological perspective but also as a practical approach to daily life. Involving 42 young people, it aims to stimulate the practice of peace among younger generations, prevent conflicts, and promote values of dialogue and mutual understanding. Each country will participate with a group of 7 young people, for a total of 42 participants, including: Step Up Italy, Vaiku ir jaunimo futbolo mokykla „Fortuna“ (Lithuania), Dione Youth Organization (Cyprus), Babaduri Idea Hub (Georgia), EUDUCATE (Spain), and Kremenchuk Informative-Elucidative Centre European Club (Ukraine). The conflict situation in Ukraine, exacerbated by tensions in Donbass and the annexation of Crimea, makes it even more urgent to support peace and active participation in the non-violent resolution of disputes. This issue, which affects not only Ukraine but also other communities that may face similar challenges, emphasizes the importance of a change in mindset. The project is designed as an opportunity to experiment with potential solutions, aiming to place young people at the center of a nonviolent revolution involving social behaviors, both verbal and digital language, and practices of civil and solidarity-based coexistence. Future Leaders for Peace: Uniting Voices, Creating Change aims to stimulate a new narrative of peace, one that, through the direct engagement of young people, can produce tangible change in social and cultural interactions. The partner organizations, including Step Up Italy, Vaiku ir jaunimo futbolo mokykla „Fortuna“, Dione Youth Organization, Babaduri Idea Hub, EUDUCATE, and Kremenchuk Informative-Elucidative Centre, bring extensive experience in managing international initiatives, understanding the importance of proper preparation and effective communication from the early stages of the project. In this context, the partners will be responsible for the preparatory phase, including the selection of group leaders and drafting an agreement for managing the budget and roles. The selection of participants will occur within three months of project approval to ensure that all participants receive an informational package with all necessary instructions. Furthermore, each partner will sign an agreement with each participant and the hosting organization, appointing a contact person for emergency management. The participants will be involved in peer education activities, role-playing, team building, and problem-solving, guided by a young psychologist and an experienced youth worker from the informal group. They will also be invited to explore and rework creative content using open-source graphic software, such as Canva, to create a Youth Peace Manifesto, which will serve as the final product to be distributed and presented in local schools during the dissemination phase. In summary, Future Leaders for Peace: Uniting Voices, Creating Change aims to provide young people with the tools necessary to address conflict-related challenges while promoting a culture of peace within their communities. Through the creativity and commitment of the participants, the project seeks to generate a positive impact on social and civic practices, fostering change that promotes active and lasting peace.
