Objectives

The main objective of the project is to promote active citizenship and social inclusion among young participants, fostering a greater awareness of their rights and duties as European citizens. The project aims not only to help participants acquire new skills, but also to become agents of change in their communities, encouraging intercultural dialogue and cooperation between young people from different countries. Specific objectives: Develop intercultural competences: Through practical activities such as the creation of the European Youth Rights Charter and the mural, participants will learn to work in an international context, understanding and valuing cultural differences. This will help them develop essential skills for intercultural communication and cooperation in an increasingly connected and inclusive Europe. Promote active citizenship: One of the key objectives is to raise awareness among young people about the importance of their active role in European society. The project offers participants the opportunity to reflect on how they can contribute to their local communities and a more united Europe, through activities that put the fundamental values of European citizenship into practice. Encourage social inclusion: The project aims to address challenges related to social exclusion and promote the inclusion of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. Through active participation and teamwork, participants will experience models of inclusion that they can later apply in their own communities. Develop transversal skills: The project seeks to equip young participants with key competences such as teamwork, leadership, conflict resolution, and creativity. These skills will be developed through non-formal activities like workshops, creative labs, and the creation of the mural. These tools will enable young people to grow both personally and professionally. Expected outcomes: Through this project, we expect young participants to become more aware of their responsibilities as European citizens and the opportunities offered by the European Union for their development. The project will lead to increased civic engagement among young people, enhancing their ability to positively influence the society they live in. Additionally, we expect the project to have a lasting impact not only on participants but also on their local communities, through the dissemination of results and the involvement of schools and youth organizations. From a youth work perspective, the project uses a non-formal educational approach that places young people at the center of the learning experience. They will work together to develop practical, social, and cultural skills in a collaborative and inclusive environment. Group leaders will facilitate this learning process, encouraging participants to critically reflect on issues such as social inclusion, civic engagement, and intercultural dialogue. Moreover, the project strengthens the connection between young people and local institutions, creating an opportunity for young people to engage directly with policymakers and communities.
