A couple of months ago, 4 young people from Italy, Romania, Greece and Bulgaria got together online and decided to implement an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange about ecology. The reason why we decided to do so was because we think that our society encourages us to buy things we don’t need, to spend more time indoors and to generally think more about our own good. Sadly, our planet doesn’t fit this frame, and while the big companies are generating profits, human beings begin to drift away, to disconnect from nature. Some of us noticed the need to protect our planet and decided to spread awareness about it. And what would have been the best way to spread international awareness among young people, if not through an international project that includes them? Based on this common wish, we decided that our project will manage to attain the following objectives: 1. To improve participants’ knowledge about at least 3 practical solutions for environmental protection (reducing consumption, reusing resources, and recycling). 2. To develop young people’ skills in planning and implementing eco-friendly activities (such as tree planting and clean-up campaigns). 3. To help participants develop a more proactive attitude towards environmental protection by involving them in outdoor activities (such as bicycle rides and nature meditation) that can increase their motivation to protect the environment. 4. To empower participants to use photography as a creative tool for advocating for environmental protection among their communities. *These objectives include the 28 participants and will be accomplished throughout the 10 months, by encouraging participants to propose and to take part in activities during all the phases of the project (preparation, implementation and dissemination)
