The project aims to equip young people with the necessary skills, knowledge, and motivation to engage in collective civic action for sustainability and well-being, addressing the intersection between environmental and social challenges. By adopting a participatory, experiential, and community-driven approach, the project will empower youth to become proactive agents of change in their local and international communities. One of the primary goals is to foster grassroots action and self-organisation by enabling young people to initiate and lead sustainability-focused initiatives. Through collaborative learning and peer-led activities, they will strengthen their capacity for self-organisation, decision-making, and civic engagement, while also building support networks to reduce social isolation and reinforce resilience. The project also aims to raise awareness about environmental and social issues, with a specific focus on the interconnections between environmental degradation, well-being, and mental health. By deepening their understanding of these links, participants will be encouraged to develop critical perspectives on sustainability and explore practical solutions to address these challenges. A fundamental component of the project is the development of essential skills for sustainability work, particularly in critical research methods and digital literacy. Young people will learn how to validate and communicate reliable information, navigate the complexities of sustainability discourse, and counter misinformation. Moreover, the project will focus on enhancing collaboration, self-organisation, and decision-making abilities, which are crucial for effective youth-led action. These objectives align with youth work practices, as the project is built around non-formal education, participatory learning, and capacity-building. By creating supportive learning environments, young people will be encouraged to experiment with new ideas, develop practical skills, and build long-term collaborations. Furthermore, the project contributes to the Erasmus+ priorities by integrating inclusion and diversity, sustainability, digital transformation, and active citizenship into all its activities.
