The project "Mindful Dive: Connecting Well-being, Technology, and Social Media Awareness" was developed to address the transformative but often problematic impact of the digital world on young people's mental health, well-being, and active citizenship. In a context where social media addiction, fake news, and the unconscious use of technology can generate anxiety and isolation, the project aimed to equip participants with the critical and practical tools necessary to navigate digital environments safely and resiliently. The main objectives of the project, which were fully achieved, were: - To raise awareness about the risks associated with the excessive use of the internet and social media, promoting psychophysical well-being through digital detox practices, mindfulness, and emotional regulation, as well as fostering knowledge of community-based and sustainable choices and lifestyles. - To develop critical thinking and media literacy to provide young people with useful tools to identify and tackle disinformation, hate speech, and manipulative narratives online (including AI-generated content). - To empower peer education skills and the creativity of the participants, encouraging them to become active protagonists and "multipliers" of digital well-being good practices within their local communities, while bridging the gap in access to digital literacy tools.
