The objectives set in implementing the “Perspectives on Power” project unfolded across four parallel and interdependent levels: - Personal empowerment, through the strengthening of both transversal (soft) skills and professional tools (technical and methodological competences); - Collective empowerment, through the promotion of transparent, authentic relationships and awareness of group dynamics; - Associative, community, and territorial empowerment, through the promotion of intercultural and professional exchange opportunities among professionals and organizations, with the aim of enhancing their capacity to act within their respective contexts and territories of origin; - Socio-cultural level, through the promotion of spaces for awareness and reflection on the structural and systemic dimensions of power, both on a small and large scale. More specifically, the main objectives of the project were: - To promote the values of INCLUSION AND DIVERSITY, by fostering exchanges between center and periphery (people from continental Europe and from Eastern and Mediterranean Europe, as well as second-generation migrants and refugees; people from capital cities and from small towns and rural areas); and between privilege and disadvantage (middle-class individuals and people facing economic hardship; European citizens and refugees; binary, non-binary, and queer individuals). The aim was to encourage a shift from marginalization toward visibility and the valorization of differences, fostering mutual understanding, coexistence, inclusion, and exchange from a human-relational, social, and ethical-political perspective. - To create LEARNING AND RESEARCH ENVIRONMENTS that support the acquisition of theoretical and practical tools to be applied in participants’ professional and personal contexts, particularly regarding power dynamics, group management, and youth work. In particular, the project aimed to promote theatre-based methodologies as tools for personal, social, and community empowerment, as well as systemic facilitation as a framework for mapping, diagnosing, and transforming group dynamics. - To foster improved INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP WELL-BEING through increased awareness of the growth potential inherent in conflict, understood as an experience of both personal and collective empowerment, as well as a transformative process that—through transparent and empathetic communication—can lead to more authentic relationships, stronger group cohesion, and the coexistence of differences as a source of richness. - To promote GREATER AWARENESS AND UNDERSTANDING OF POWER DYNAMICS and active roles within groups, through direct experiences that view micro-contexts as small-scale examples of what occurs at a global level. - To promote DIFFERENT FORMS OF LEADERSHIP, AND THE DISTRIBUTION AND SHARING OF POWER, as well as active and responsible participation, both through symbolic and creative experiences such as games and theatre practices, and through the sharing of skills and contributions by some of the participants during the training. - To promote a cultural shift toward a NONVIOLENT, INCLUSIVE, AND ECOSYSTEMIC CULTURE, supporting the nonviolent transformation of conflict, active citizenship, connection with natural environments, and environmental responsibility. - To promote the creation and development of NETWORKS FOR EXCHANGE AND COLLABORATION at both local and international levels, among participants and partner organizations, by strengthening existing relationships and opening spaces for new formal and informal collaborations and exchanges.
