UP-EET: Step Up, Stand Out is not a simple training course, but a transformative experience designed for youth workers, mentors and supervisors who wish to enhance the impact of European Solidarity Corps projects on young people, Guiding them towards an active role in their communities. The beating heart of UP-EET is contained in its name: Unlocking Potential through Experience, Engagement & Thriving. Unlocking the potential of youth means shaping a future where every young person can recognize their value, find their space and participate in building a more inclusive, equitable and democratic society. Through this project, Strauss APS aims to strengthen the engagement and active citizenship of young people, leveraging on the opportunities offered by the European Solidarity Corps and innovative practices of Youth Work. The aim is not only to increase youth participation, but to redefine its processes, breaking down barriers to access and creating replicable models of democratic and social involvement. The training course offers participants a unique opportunity to: -To explore and understand the dynamics of youth participation, analysing emerging trends, challenges and opportunities at local and European level; -Acquire and test innovative methods for the active involvement of young people, building pathways that foster empowerment and awareness of their role in society; -develop mentoring and facilitation strategies to accompany young people in transformative learning experiences that prepare them to become actors of change; -Connect the local dimension with the international one, creating a solid network of youth workers and organisations capable of generating lasting impact. The initiative fits perfectly into the mission of Strauss APS, which for more than twenty years has been working to ensure that young people, especially those with fewer opportunities, have concrete tools for their personal, professional and civic growth. UP-EET aims to build on this commitment by providing youth workers with advanced skills and effective methodologies to turn any volunteer experience into a springboard for active and responsible citizenship. In a constantly changing world, where disinterest and mistrust of democratic processes are an increasingly urgent challenge, UP-EET wants to be a catalyst for change, an opportunity to train youth workers capable of inspiring, guiding and building paths of genuine participation. That only through real and meaningful involvement young people can feel themselves protagonists and not mere spectators of the society in which they live.We must choose carefully what we want to deal with, but care for what we choose, right?
