Objectives

The ultimate goal of the program is to maintain the youngsters's potential and aspirations by integrating the practice of connecting with nature and learning from nature to help them realize their own strength, strengthen faith and self-stimulation. This program is based on the principle of "Enhancing learning through natural connection". Empowering Learning Through Natural Connection is a principle based on the idea that meaningful learning and personal growth emerge when individuals engage in direct, embodied experiences with nature. This approach integrates nature-based practices, somatic awareness, and experiential learning to create an environment where young people can develop emotional resilience, self-confidence, and a deeper sense of belonging. Research in environmental psychology and ecotherapy has demonstrated that spending time in nature reduces stress, enhances cognitive function, and fosters emotional regulation—key components of mental health and well-being. By immersing participants in nature, this approach provides a multisensory learning experience that promotes mindfulness, emotional intelligence, and self-discovery. It encourages young people to cultivate self-awareness through movement, reflection, and creative expression, while also strengthening their connection with others and their surroundings. Furthermore, nature-based learning enhances problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a sense of agency, equipping young people with practical tools to navigate life’s challenges. In a time when mental health issues among youth are on the rise, "Empowering Learning Through Natural Connection" offers a holistic, sustainable, and deeply human-centered response, supporting well-being through experiential, embodied, and community-driven learning. To this end, this project is planned to offer participation in a safe and friendly environment in which participants can nourish their competes socially and emotionally through contact with nature and learning from nature. The project aims to stabilize a framework that maintains the physical and mental well-being of the participating people, being youth workers whom will integrate this methods in their work with youngsters. Participants will receive support and guidance from the Brave New Soul organizational team throughout the entire duration of the project, as well as post-training mentoring to monitor the application of the acquired learning. The trainers will be committed to creating an atmosphere where everyone feels free to experiment and learn safely. The exploration of nature-based practices and learning from nature during the training will allow participants to develop social and emotional skills in an engaging and experiential way. Through these practices, participants will have the opportunity to reflect on their experiences and the knowledge gained, documenting them through the use of Youthpass. The main intent is to support socio-educational workers in understanding the desires and emotions of the young people they work with, helping them discover their own vocation through nature-based approaches and improving their overall well-being. We aim to enhance the ability of socio-educational workers to understand the characteristics and specificities of the young people they work with, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds. Additionally, we seek to strengthen their skills in using nature-based practices and learning from nature as tools to reconnect with themselves, build relationships, develop their creative potential, discover their vocation, and promote inclusion and cooperation among young people. Finally, we want to increase personal and professional motivation in working with youth, especially the most vulnerable. One of the final objectives is the creation of 27 follow-up activities: workshops based on nature-based practices and learning from nature, focused on the theme of vocation and aimed at young people in the partner countries. We aspire to create a learning environment where participants can develop fundamental skills that they can apply in their future personal and professional lives thanks to this project.
