The goal of The Sound of Silence is providing international youth workers with peacebuilding competencies to tackle youth violence at local, regional and international level. The specific objectives that our project plans to achieve are: -to provide 18 youth workers active in 6 countries with peacebulding practices fostering a deeper connection with oneself and others by exploring the transformative power of silence, active listening, and non-verbal communication during a 7-days mobility for youth workers; -to organise workshops in the local communities of the youth workers involving 60 local youth in the experience of silence to enhance self-connection and peacebuilding. -to design and promote at international level a structured daily routine, implemented through a published list of daily actions that young people can follow at home for two weeks to explore genuine self-connection and self-expression. -The exchange of practices involving 6 partner organizations for the creation of local spaces where communities can meet and share support to enhance peacebuilding among youth.
