The VIBE project (Visionary Interactive Broadcasting for Empowerment) has been ideated by APG and partner organizations as a response to tackle many youth and third-sector organizations struggle to effectively communicate their messages and values. As a result of our analysis, these challenges don’t seem to be determined by a lack of values rather by a low diffusion of specific skills in strategic communication. The project is based on recent research by trustworthy entities in the field of youth work and a direct dialogue between APG and partner organizations, which highlighted the need to strengthen their communication capacities. In particular, studies like the research "Communicating Online for Development: The Case of Piemontese NGOs" demonstrate how many organizations manage communication without specialized skills, thus limiting the quality and impact of their activities. VIBE aims to fill these gaps by offering training in strategic communication and podcasting. The project’s approach focuses on key areas, including strategic communication training, podcasting skills development, the creation of a virtual network of collaboration between organizations, and the production of a "meta-podcast," a podcast documenting the various technical steps involved in creating podcasts. Podcasting, in particular, has been identified as one of the most versatile and accessible tools for delivering quality content, especially suitable for reaching a young, international audience and functional to the needs of our partners. This medium allows the exploration of relevant topics in a creative and engaging way, paving the way for promoting community values and sharing impactful social stories. Additionally, the creation of a "meta-podcast" provides a cross-cutting product of great value, characterized by high replicability, as it can be utilized by various youth workers across Europe and beyond, even those not currently involved in VIBE. In addition to technical training, the project aims to develop a strong network of cooperation between youth organizations through the exchange of good practices, sharing of resources, and the organization of online and offline dissemination activities. Creating a stable network will be crucial for supporting the growth and spread of initiatives that can stimulate a positive social impact at the European level. The goal of providing strategic communication training is intertwined with strengthening the participants' abilities to work on clear and convincing messages, while also addressing the need to adapt to new communication contexts. The use of innovative communication techniques, such as interactive storytelling, the selection of communication channels, and the ability to quantitatively measure the impact of actions, are all crucial aspects that VIBE aims to develop. Through participation in practical activities, such as creating audio content and recording the meta-podcast, participants will not only gain technical skills but also develop a greater awareness of the importance of strategic communication as a tool for empowerment and social inclusion. Through these activities, VIBE closely aligns with the objectives of Erasmus+, particularly in promoting social inclusion, active citizenship, and cooperation among youth organizations. By offering training opportunities to young people from different countries, VIBE fosters intercultural learning and mutual understanding, key aspects at the heart of the Erasmus+ program’s objectives. Furthermore, VIBE contributes to the professional development of youth workers, improving their ability to communicate effectively and manage complex projects in a global context, while also providing effective tools for recognizing the skills acquired, such as LinkedIn Badges and Youthpass. In conclusion, VIBE represents an innovative proposal that addresses contemporary communication challenges, creating growth opportunities for participants and supporting the establishment of a solid network between youth organizations through highly replicable outputs. The integrated approach of the project, which combines training, collaboration, and the development of practical skills, makes VIBE a valuable initiative for the growth of youth organizations and for strengthening their ability to positively influence society. With a strong connection to the objectives of Erasmus+, VIBE not only addresses concrete needs but also significantly contributes to the development of Youth Work at the European level and beyond.
