The project EU ROOTS+ aims to empower young people with fewer opportunities from the Basso Salento region by providing them with a transformative DiscoverEU experience. The primary objectives are to promote their inclusion, enhance their sense of European identity, and develop key competences such as intercultural understanding, collaboration, and problem-solving. From a youth work perspective, the project seeks to break down barriers that prevent participation in international mobility, fostering a sense of belonging to Europe and equipping participants with skills and confidence to actively engage in their communities and beyond. It also aims to create a replicable model of inclusive youth mobility, emphasizing the importance of sustainability, active citizenship, and lifelong learning.
