Awareness about the European UnionReception and integration of refugees and migrantsInitial and continuous training for teachers, trainers and other education staff

Objectives

We hope to gain live experience from training organizers and colleagues from various European countries, how - based on new principles of neuroeducation, educational leadership, creation of new learning environments - to work more effectively in a multicultural environment, in groups where there are psychologically vulnerable people, because teachers in the war in Ukraine had a new, important role - to be not only language teachers, but also advisors, facilitators, helping to overcome tension.

Background

The Ukrainian refugee crisis is the biggest in Europe since the Second World War. The mission of our Center is to teach state (Lithuanian) and other European languages to war refugees and migrants to Lithuanian public life, to establish themselves in the labor market. These activities require new knowledge and competences from the teachers, and pose challenges: how to teach war refugees with psychological trauma, migrants of various cultures, how to help them learn languages more effectively
