Objectives

By implementing the project, we aimed to systematically pursue the objectives of the Society and Enterprise Development Institute’s Erasmus+ accreditation in the field of youth. We sought to provide young people and youth workers with opportunities to learn in an international environment, strengthen relevant competences, and apply the knowledge gained within their organisations and communities. The project was based on the need to improve the quality of youth work and strengthen young people’s emotional well-being, independence, initiative, and ability to act in a rapidly changing society. Through the “Feels like…” youth exchange, we aimed to strengthen young people’s understanding of physical and mental health, emotional awareness, ability to recognise stress, and capacity to take care of their well-being. We also sought to develop communication, cooperation, self-expression, and intercultural learning competences by creating a safe environment in which young people from five countries could learn more about themselves, other people, and different cultures. Through the professional development activities, we aimed to strengthen youth workers’ competences in four main areas. The “Inside OUT” training course sought to provide practical tools for recognising young people’s emotional difficulties, responding appropriately to emotional crises, creating an environment based on trust, and maintaining professional boundaries. The objective of the “Project ON” training course was to strengthen organisations’ capacities to develop high-quality Erasmus+ cooperation projects based on young people’s needs and to plan their impact, partnerships, evaluation, dissemination, and sustainability. Through the “Today’s choices: Career UP” training course, we aimed to improve the quality of non-formal career guidance. Participants were provided with methods to help young people better understand their strengths, values, and interests, assess opportunities realistically, make decisions under conditions of uncertainty, and move from reflection to concrete action. The objective of the “SMART YOUth” training course was to strengthen competences in smart and digital youth work, critical thinking, media and information literacy, and the safe and ethical use of digital and artificial intelligence tools. The volunteering conference “Your Experiences Start Here!” aimed to increase the visibility of volunteering and present it as an opportunity for personal growth, emotional resilience, career exploration, and civic participation. The event brought together young people, volunteers, youth work professionals, and organisations, providing opportunities to share real experiences and present local, national, and international volunteering opportunities. Across all activities, we aimed to promote inclusion, intercultural dialogue, active participation, experiential learning, and the practical application of results in everyday work. We also sought to strengthen international partnerships and partners’ responsibility for participant selection, preparation, support, and dissemination of results. The long-term objective of the project was not only to provide individual learning experiences for participants, but also to improve the working methods of participating organisations, strengthen their capacity to develop high-quality activities, and contribute to the development of youth work at local, national, and European levels.
