Project "BREATHE MINDFULLY" is designed with all project partners. The project will bring together 30 participants from Spain, Hungary, Lithuania, Croatia, and Poland. Our project will take place in a cozy homestead surrounded by trees in Pajiesys village, Kaunas district, from August 20-26, plus 2 travel days. Through this project, we aim to enhance young people's emotional, physical, and social well-being, helping them create a more balanced and high-quality life through non-formal education. We want to support young people who, due to constant busyness, struggle to find time for themselves, leading to burnout, lack of motivation, decreased productivity, and inner imbalance. Our goal is for participants not only to gain theoretical knowledge but also to practically apply methods that will help them build self-confidence, manage stress, maintain healthy relationships, and find a balance between work, rest, and personal needs. Young people worldwide face significant emotional, physical, and social well-being challenges. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), mental health issues such as stress, anxiety, and burnout are among the most pressing problems for young people. This is particularly evident among the 18–29 age group, who often feel immense pressure balancing work, studies, and personal life. Studies show that more than 40% of young people in Europe experience stress due to workload, and 25% report burnout symptoms when they neglect their health and rest (European Youth Research, 2022). Moreover, young people tend to spend excessive time on computers and smartphones, leading to low self-confidence and social isolation (Smith & Williams, 2023). Therefore, this project, focusing on emotional, physical, and social well-being, is highly relevant. The practices included in the project—such as stress management, mindfulness exercises, self-confidence building, and physical activity—help young people address these challenges and create a more balanced life. Research indicates that meditation and physical activity have a positive impact on young people's health, reducing depression and stress, while social skills such as active listening and empathy help build healthy and supportive relationships (Journals of Youth Studies, 2022). Thus, this project, which integrates psychological, physical, and social education, equips young people with essential skills for achieving a better life balance. Project Objectives: - To raise participants' awareness of healthy relationships with themselves, their close ones, and their surroundings by providing theoretical and practical knowledge on stress management, emotional self-regulation, and mindful living; - To promote physical activity as a tool for strengthening emotional and physical well-being, increasing self-confidence, and fostering a harmonious connection between body and mind; - To provide theoretical and practical knowledge on recognizing body signals related to rest, movement, and relaxation needs through practices such as yoga, breathing techniques, and meditation; - To increase participants' understanding of sustainability principles, responsible consumption, and environmental preservation, linking them to mindful living and inner harmony; - To encourage young people to actively engage in their communities, adopt sustainable solutions in their daily lives, reduce single-use plastic consumption, practice waste sorting, and promote eco-friendly choices; - To apply non-formal education methods, creative workshops, and practical activities to develop critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and strategic planning, enabling participants to integrate sustainability principles into their everyday lives; - To introduce participants to the "Erasmus+" program and other youth opportunities that can help expand their knowledge of personal growth, mindfulness, and ecology. The youth exchange working methodologies will be based on non-formal education methods such as outdoor activities, debates, discussions, experience sharing, creative and self-awareness sessions, stress management and mindfulness practices, role-playing activities, simulation games, meditation, movement therapy exercises, meetings with emotional well-being specialists, and an introduction to "Erasmus+" opportunities. By the end of the project, participants will be better equipped to manage stress, take care of their well-being, and build stronger and more genuine relationships with others. This project will not only contribute to their personal development but will also help create a positive impact on the broader community.
