The Fashion Forward project aims to empower young people by promoting sustainable fashion practices and raising awareness of the environmental and social impact of fast fashion. Through non-formal education methods, the project seeks to equip participants with practical skills in upcycling, ethical fashion, and responsible consumerism while fostering creativity and leadership. The objectives of the project are to educate young people about the environmental and social consequences of the fashion industry, develop their skills in textile reuse and sustainable design, and encourage them to adopt ethical consumer habits. The project also aims to foster a mindset of circular economy principles and empower youth to take action in their communities by organizing local initiatives that promote sustainability. From the perspective of youth work practice, the project supports experiential learning by engaging participants in hands-on workshops, peer-to-peer education, and creative challenges. It provides an inclusive learning environment where young people from diverse backgrounds, including those with fewer opportunities, can develop critical thinking, teamwork, and entrepreneurial skills. Through international collaboration, participants will also enhance their intercultural competence and build networks that support their future involvement in sustainability initiatives.
