After all, anxiety is an inevitable companion and cost of freedom, opportunities, choices, and responsibility, and we have more and more of these good things. Therefore, the mental health of young people in the European Union (EU) is a major concern. From COVID-19 to climate change and ongoing wars, the young are inheriting a troubled world. Especially in a world that moves so fast and presents so many new possibilities, it is very easy to get overwhelmed and lost. Accordingly, the ‘lost’ feeling is very common and normal for every human being, but it also brings a lot of stress and anxiety. And when people don’t know what they want, it’s because they don’t know their true selves well enough. That’s why when a person gets lost, he can start to begin to understand himself. The idea of this project was born while doing an ESC team volunteering project. When the two authors of this project, Beatrina and Aurora met. During the discussion with youthworkers, we agreed that there are many opportunities these days, but young people seem more lost than ever. So we came up with an idea: project "Self - ACTivation" that aims to provide youngsters to step back from the challenges and foster solutions rooted in nature, community-building, and self-awareness. By immersing participants in outdoor activities, environmental protection efforts, and team-based experiences, we want to strengthen a reconnection with the natural world, cultivate authentic and solid relationships, and empower them to think critically about their role in addressing societal and environmental issues. The objectives of the project: - To encourage reflection on the challenges faced by young people nowadays among 30 young people from 6 different countries. - To increase awareness of the significance of mental health among 30 young people from 6 different countries. - To understand ecological anxiety and foster practical tools to cope with it among 30 young people from 6 different countries. - To encourage active action towards environmental protection in the everyday activities of 30 young people from 6 different countries. - To enhance the resilience of 30 young people from 6 different countries by providing them with practical tools and strategies to manage various mental health challenges. - To foster 30 young people from 6 different countries self-identity and self-efficacy through creative, self-expressive and outdoor activities.
