Objectives

Young individuals in the early stages of their professional journeys often encounter challenges related to career decisions. They struggle to identify suitable career paths and pursue professions that align with their interests and aspirations. This issue stems from a lack of understanding about available career opportunities, limited awareness of their own abilities, and an unclear vision of how to advance their skills for the job market. Consequently, many young people feel uncertain and dissatisfied with their professional growth, whether they are employed in companies, enrolled in universities, or not actively engaged in career-related activities. Our project aims to bring together young people from various program and partner countries to address their career-related concerns and explore ways to unlock their potential. By leveraging the expertise of five partner organizations, we will engage 30 participants in an eight-day youth exchange program. This initiative will focus on deepening participants' understanding of diverse career paths, sharing personal experiences, identifying common challenges, and developing practical solutions to meet their career aspirations. Through inclusive and engaging activities, we aim to create a supportive environment that fosters the development of relevant competencies and encourages participants to grow professionally. Furthermore, participants will share the project's outcomes to create a broader impact. The specific objectives of our project include:Enhancing young people’s awareness of current professional opportunities.Assessing participants’ competencies to identify strengths and areas for improvement.Cultivating a positive mindset for career development.Inspiring participants to discover career motivation and create both short-term and long-term development plans.Highlighting the value of non-formal learning in career growth.Emphasizing the importance of mentorship in shaping career pathways.Challenging stereotypes related to career choices.Promoting the significance of international perspectives in career development while fostering tolerance and cultural understanding.Establishing “Career Advancement Clubs” in each participating country to sustain the project’s impact. This initiative originated from discussions with VšĮ ”Alternatyvūs members. Our Lithuanian partners recognized these career-related challenges and developed a local career development club as a solution. Now, we aim to address these issues on an international scale, sharing best practices and fostering collaboration across cultures for greater impact. Each partner country contributes its unique perspective, offering insights and solutions from their local context. As part of the project, we will host 30 participants in Kaunas while ensuring sustainability through the establishment of youth clubs in each participating country. These clubs will continue to disseminate the project’s results to local youth and relevant stakeholders, amplifying the initiative’s reach and impact.
