Objectives

This project aims to make significant contributions to Youth Work, both at the local and EU level, through its innovative approach and targeted educational practices. We believe the following key contributions will be made: -Enriching EU Youth Work with a New Educational Approach: The project introduces an alternative educational model that is values-driven, focusing on planetary and democratic perspectives rather than traditional anthropocentric views. By shifting the focus from human-centered approaches to more holistic, planet-centric views, we encourage youth workers to adopt methods that emphasize social, ecological, and climate justice. This new framework will help youth workers engage with global challenges in a more interconnected, sustainable, and ethical way, ultimately broadening the scope of Youth Work. -Building Capacity in Youth Workers and Educators: One of the project's core goals is to strengthen the professional capacity of youth workers and educators by equipping them with new tools, methods, and techniques. This capacity-building will allow them to better address contemporary challenges in education and sustainability, fostering a deeper understanding of ecopedagogy and other innovative teaching methods. By providing practical, hands-on training, we aim to enhance the skills of participants, enabling them to incorporate these practices into their own work with young people. -Fostering Collaborative Networks and Solutions: The project will create a space for youth workers from various backgrounds to come together, share their experiences, ideas, and challenges in Youth Work. Through this collective brainstorming process, participants will not only find solutions to common challenges but also inspire one another to create innovative strategies for dealing with the complex issues facing young people today. These gatherings will encourage the establishment of new networks and partnerships that can facilitate ongoing collaboration, exchange of good practices, and further development of Youth Work across Europe. -Promoting Erasmus+ Priorities and Opportunities: By aligning the project with the priorities and objectives of the Erasmus+ program, we aim to promote the values and goals of Erasmus+ while also raising awareness of the numerous opportunities it offers for personal and professional development. The project will highlight the benefits of Erasmus+ to a wider audience, including youth workers, educators, and organizations, encouraging greater participation in the program. Through active promotion and engagement, we hope to inspire more youth workers and educators to take advantage of the program’s opportunities for growth, learning, and international collaboration. In sum, this project contributes to the development of Youth Work by introducing innovative, values-driven educational methods, enhancing the capacity of youth workers, fostering collaborative networks, and promoting the key goals of the Erasmus+ program. These contributions will have a long-term positive impact on both the quality and reach of Youth Work across Europe, creating a more sustainable and interconnected future for young people and their communities.
