The project “Resilience, Inclusion, Support and Empowerment for Youth Workers (RISE)” was developed in response to the growing mental health challenges faced by young people across Europe and the increasing emotional and professional pressure experienced by youth workers. Youth professionals are frequently confronted with complex situations, including anxiety, depression, trauma, social exclusion, and crisis interventions, yet often lack structured tools and support systems to address these challenges sustainably. The main objective of the project was to strengthen the competencies, resilience, and professional capacity of youth workers in supporting young people, particularly those from vulnerable backgrounds such as refugees and conflict-affected youth. Specific objectives of the project were: 1. To enhance youth workers’ skills in recognising and responding to mental health challenges among young people. 2. To provide practical, evidence-based tools for crisis response and emotional support. 3. To introduce structured non-formal education methods, including art therapy-based approaches and mindfulness practices. 4. To strengthen youth workers’ own resilience, stress management, and burnout prevention strategies. 5. To foster intercultural dialogue and exchange of good practices among partner organisations. 6. To build sustainable international cooperation in the field of youth work and mental health support.
