Objectives

By implementing the project “Guides of Emotions” we want to: 1. Enhance emotional intelligence. We aim to develop key competencies in youth workers, including self-awareness, self-regulation, social awareness (empathy), and relationship management. This will empower youth workers to manage stress, regulate emotions, and communicate effectively, thus addressing the current misalignment between their methods and the needs of modern youth. 2. Improve communication skills By implementing training focused on effective communication strategies, we intend to foster better relationships between youth workers and young people. This will not only enhance motivation but also increase empathy on both sides, creating a more supportive environment for youth. 3. Build emotional resilience The project will provide youth workers with mindfulness practices and techniques to recognize and manage their emotions. This is crucial for preventing burnout and enhancing their overall emotional well-being, allowing them to perform their roles more effectively. 4. Develop conflict management skills We will equip youth workers with practical conflict management strategies to navigate challenging situations in their work with youth. This training will ensure they can apply these strategies in real-life contexts, making them more effective in their roles. 5. Ongoing support and networking The project will foster a supportive community among youth workers, facilitating ongoing discussions and knowledge sharing that extend beyond the project’s lifespan. This network will be vital for continuous learning and collaboration. Mobility of youth workers has the following objectives: a) Improve youth workers' self-awareness to help them better recognize and understand their own emotions (a lateral benefit here will be that they will be able to apply and transmit the acquired knowledge to youngsters in their youth work); b) Strengthen youth workers' self-regulation skills, enabling them to manage their emotional reactions effectively in youth work; c) Foster social awareness and empathy in youth workers, enabling them to better understand and connect with the emotions of both their colleagues and the young people they support; d) Improve relationship management skills, fostering stronger, more positive interpersonal connections and communication; e) Encourage continuous self-reflection and professional development among youth workers; f) Create opportunities for youth workers to share experiences, best practices, and challenges in the field of youth work.
